The Million Pound Note

Most opulent and rich people of the upper class tend to take advantage of their position on the social ladder. They occasionally make mistakes, which could mar their reputation and credit. This is because the wealthy makes many transactions, from money to important positions. When they stumble, they simply bribe their opponents and walk away unscathed. For a common citizen, that could mean severe fines. For example, when a middle-class man doesn’t pay his taxes, he would get fined a large sum of money. A wealthy person would promise a member of the IRS an important position in their business if they let them off the hook.  They also bypass the law whenever they feel that it is an advantage to them. For instance, when they commit a crime, all that they have to do is pay government officials. Better yet. They can hire someone to take the blame for them. This is how they take advantage of their wealth.

Wealthy people often become corrupt somewhere along the line. For Example, O.J. Simpson not only hired the best lawyers in the nation, but also paid his way out of a capital punishment. He bribed the juries through money to be trailed innocent in court. His lawyers also had a brilliant idea of allowing photography equipment into the courtroom to intimidate the prosecutors. In addition, politically powerful people, like former president Clinton, pardoned over one hundred people. Some of them were dangerous criminals, like drug dealers or smugglers. Other political officers were powerless to stop him. Furthermore, the Mafia constantly used their fortune to buy themselves out of trouble. They made a large sum of cash from selling drugs, alcohol, and theft. This was definitely an abuse of illegal money. There are many other wealthy people who do away with their charges using money.

A few of the wealthy even harm others by using their wealth. The simplest case would be false-witness for hire. All that a person has to do is find a trustworthy person and then hire them to frame someone. This has been done before in the courtroom. Another case would be hiring someone to do something against the law. For instance, they could hire someone to nullify all their debt on the checking account. This is also harming the hired person, since there is always a chance that they will get caught. Finally, a wealthy person can hire someone to murder his or her enemy. This is not only against the law, but definitely harmful to the other third party. Both the murderer and the wealthy person will be punished should they get caught. Fortunately, very few people do this type of thing.
